HAPPY NEW YEAR.. and some faves

I am back at work today. The first day of the year and I am sitting in my incredibly clean office.. (i hated doing it but i am so pleased i cleaned up in here on the last day of my hols). There is something about a fresh new diary (i dont have one but you get the point).. a clean notepad, a tidy desk, sharp pencils and the feeling of something new .. ready to begin. 

This year will be really different for me. In just 4 short weeks my adorable lil boy starts school. Big kid style. Black dress shoes, a uniform.. and .. 5 days a week. 

He has never been gone 5 days a week before.. and whilst I all too clearly remember wishing it were so many many times over the last 5.5 years... the reality makes me a lil sad. 4 would be good. ;) 

But.. 5 it is.. and that means .. normal working hours. 5 days x 5 hours a day (allowing for drop off and pick up) .. i will be sitting here working away on numerous things. No more long slow nights and spending the next day in a hazy PS coma (as we call it).. just... normal work hours. Looking forward to that. 

I am also revamping a few things. Typepad.. you and I have been friends for a long time now.. but i really don't like your new thingys and your new ways of doing odd things to my posts. We are parting company. Finding a new blog. Will keep you posted. Anyone know how to backup/download this blog for keepsake purposes?

But for now.. a look back over 2008. I did photo a day and CURSED myself when I missed a day in Sept. seriously.. fricken Sept. Calling it the PS coma.. LOL I got confused about what the actual day was. oh well.. i still did 365..LOL it was a leap year ;) 

I also flicked through and found some faves from 2008.. both of lochie and from pwl. I dont think i am very good at sharing all the photos i take for PWL. Might have to work on that in 2009. I am so behind in blogging them.. and shhh.. but i still have a session to edit on sitting on my puter.. unheard of for me.. but the christmas rush ate me up!

Little Miss RR... she is MUCH bigger now. These were taken back in May just a couple of days after she came into the world. I hear she is super cute! Look forward to seeing her again in 2009!

Click photos... these were huge for me in 2008 and I am super excited to include them in each session now. 

I captured a birthday party a month or so ago.. and got some shots of the kids in the pool. love this one lil drop.. frozen in time. 

This just makes me awww. he is so stinking cute... just adorable!

Mothers and Babies... OK this is possibly THE fave of 08. 

a fine art student.. who agreed to a session for her mum.. who came willing to play and who looks different in every shot. love this job.

He didn't want to be photographed. He really didn't want to be photographed with his sister and neither wanted to look like a couple. LOL But I think he looks pretty good here.. and their parents tell me this is THEM. 

and that is what I aim for in every shot. 

And now... my fave lochie shots of 08. I realised how few there are recently.. we must play more. 

I love this kid. He has a great sense of humour and fun. He has perfect comedic timing . and he makes me laugh.

This was Andrew's favorite... but i think we have a new one. ;) 

We all know how much i hate photos of myself.. but... i do treasure this one. It is US. Playing. As we do. 

Blurry, Andrew looks shockingly bad (sorry babe!) But look... that is love and happiness.. Lochie's 5th birthday. :) ahhh. I love my boys. 

The boys playing soccor in the backyard. If i was very quiet I could sneak to the edge of the deck and capture them playing down below. 

Last day of preschool.. in his thinking spot.. thinking. This makes me think about who he will be when he grows.. and i smile.  

Check out that face. That beautiful face.. We made him. Still can't believe we are capable of such magnificence. He rocks. We adore him. And.. over there on the right... that is Andrew's new fave.. he now has it 20 x 30 in his office. Swords at the ready...
