I woke this morning to coffee in bed (as requested!) and .. promptly and rather rudely went back to sleep.. opps. Andrew popped back in 30 mins later and bought me another cup and some toast. awwwww. Big brownie points for him! Sooooo much better than the 4am and 6am wake ups of the rest of the holidays!
We got up and cleaned up the house.. and headed into the valley. The idea was a nice lunch and walk it off at the stores in emporium and then head to www.freestyletout.com.au for ice cream treats..
The toy store was closed, as was about half the other stores. *pout* so we ended up having lunch AND ice cream treats at freestyle tout. LUSCIOUS!! I didn't take a camera or the iphone (or keys or wallet.. true holidays).. and Andrew used his new phone (nokia N95) I don't like the phone but the photos are awesome! (he loves the phone which is the most important thing!)
I played a lil and snapped some photos of our treats..
this was mine... macadamia nut slice.. topped with vanilla bean icecream and a white chocolate sail.. with hot caramel sauce.. i didn't finish it - despite a brave effort ;)
One went berry .. the other chocolate.
Before the meal arrived andrew was playing and snapping photos.. i asked what he was doing...he was trying to capture the bubbles in our drinks. i stole the phone and played too.
We stopped and bought some books including beedle the bard and ... got Sir Flapalot (the budgie) a new cage and stand.. he is one very happy lil birdie now. and can leave outside..making for a very happy Mummy. He can come in to play tho.
We headed home and cranked up the aircon! phew it was HOT today.. lovely in here tho!
I spent HOURS after that cleaning the studio.. 9pm and I am done.. so umm just the four hours then.. excluding the time it took me to throw dinner in the oven.
Anyone who thinks i am tidy should have seen the APPAULING state of the studio after christmas rush.
blah. Now it is all clean and filed and good to go for 2009... BRING IT ON!
