I feel like I have shopped and decorated (in between carrying boxes) for weeks.. apart from some images on the wall.. i thought i was kinda done..
until yesterday
yesterday the owner of the pro lab I used came out and calibrated the new screen for me. They are awesome! - He just pops out.. spends an hour or so making it perfect and heads off again ;) AHHHH BLISS.
Whilst he was here - he gave me some fab ideas on how moving a couple of items, would make way for prints - just the perfect things I had wanted to get but couldnt see how...
so thanks Will.. I appreciate your time and effort.
I had bought frames this week.. one of most of our print sizes, and I have ordered the same image in each size.I think this will really help clients to visualize the various sizes - this is my number one question and concern.
Target (and no our target isnt as exciting as the american one and i almost never shop there) had a frame sale so whilst i bought the display frames elsewhere I couldnt help but buy us a pack of frames. (2) 8x10s, (4) 6x4s and (2) 5x7s.. black edges with mats... BARGAIN... i had thought to put them in the entrance area but... Will pointed out we shouldn't showing clients that a 5x7 is ok.. LOL (cause it really ISNT!!!!) and to make sure they were out of view
our bedroom walls are blank (can you begin to imagine who this pains me) so... the photos above our bed will be perfect.. and no clients can see them - Will think about the entrance a lil more :)
in the mean time...
I am revamping a packing crate. Andrew got them from work (we have two) and i screamed ottoman as soon as I saw them. I am chasing some designer fabric to cover it and place on the wall where the bookcase with photo doors currently is.. and above it will be a 30 x 40 or 40 x 60 inch print. :) ohh la la.. now if only i can get lochie to stay still long enough to capture a good image.
I scoured heather baileys site.. mmm nothing perfect (but oh so lovely).. and amy butler has a martini/gold that I quite liked but i am worried it is a lil to 60s..

I think this is the current winner -

It is simple, yellow, modern, etc. the one thing the room could do with more of is texture... and leaves add 'visual texture' even if they dont feeeeel different.
The crate is the size of a normal rectangular ottoman and whilst I had thought of doing the base, and then a pad for the top.. i think.. padding it. and just having it super mininmalist... neat corners, and no seams, frills or extras might be cooler.. and it matches in with the sofa which is similar.
Any thoughts?
Can i say - how much i loooove these (not for the room but OH SO COOL)
i could say.. if shannon lamden's fabric was available in yellow.. i would be ALL OVEr tHAT...

oh and if you are loving shannon as much as me... check this out.. .
